FDA Cosmetic Manufacturing Facility Registration and Cosmetic Product Ingredient Statements (CPIS) Filing
Except for cosmetic color additives, cosmetic products are not subject to mandatory registration and FDA premarket approval. However it is the cosmetic firm's responsibility to make sure that its products and ingredients are safe and labeled accordingly with FDA cosmetics regulations. The Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program (VCRP) is an FDA post-market reporting system for use by manufacturers, packers, and distributors of cosmetic products that are in commercial distribution in the U.S.
FDA Listing Inc. will assist cosmetic manufacturers or packers whose products are in commercial use to register their cosmetic establishments with FDA (Cosmetic Manufacturing Establishment Registration). FDA Listing Inc. also helps cosmetic manufacturers, packers, or distributors to file a statement for each cosmetic product (Cosmetic Product Ingredient Statements, CPIS) the firm has entered into commercial distribution in the U.S. Click the start button for FDA Cosmetic Establishment Registration and Cosmetic Product Ingredient Statements (CPIS) Filing.
FDA Registration Certificate
After your registration is complete, the registered cosmetic establishment will be allocated a FDA registration number with FDA. The FDA registration number will identify your company with FDA as well as assisting you in the custom clearance process. U.S. FDA does not issue any registration certificate however, as a third party agent, FDA Listing Inc. will provide you with a certificate of FDA registration that can be used as FDA registration confirmation. The FDA registration certificate is good for one year and the copy of the FDA registration certificate can be used as a proof of registration before U.S. custom, importers, distributers and other commercial outlets.
